Apple Butter Bread

Easy and Delicious Apple Butter Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 Eggs beaten
  • 2 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 cup Sour Milk or Buttermilk I prefer to make it by adding 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to 1 cup of milk to make my own buttermilk.
  • 1 cup Apple Butter

Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 stand mixer
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • 1 loaf/bread pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Cream the butter
  3. Add sugar and cream until fluffy
  4. Add beaten eggs gradually and mix thoroughly
  5. Sift the flour in a separate bowl
  6. Add salt and spices to flour and mix well
  7. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk into mixture
  8. Add Apple Butter and mix well
  9. Pour into a greased loaf pan
  10. Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes. Time will vary with different ovens
  11. If top of bread gets too brown just cover lightly with aluminum foil

Notes

Let bread cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Let rest for 1 hour .
